I was brought up in London and lived there all my life until moving to Germany with my husband in December 2006. We lived there for just under three years and in August this year moved to Aberdeenshire.
I went to University at Bristol and studied Classical Studies which I absolutely loved and then when I finished my degree I moved back home to London. I worked for eighteen months whilst doing a foundation course in Psychotherapy and Counselling and shortly after that I got married.
My husband wass an Officer in the British Army until August of this year and flies helicopters. He was posted to Germany which is why we spent three years there, which we absolutely loved! However in Army life you do not get to see one another very often and so we decided to change lifestyles so that we could spend more time together and start a family. Our first baby is due in February next year!
It was when we moved to Germany that I started writing and illustrating. I had wanted to do it for sometime and moving to a foreign country offered me the perfect time to start.
Although my writing and illustrating is varied I predominantly write books of a Christian nature. Not all the books I have written are Christian though. “A Walk On The Wildside” does not have a Christian theme, but I do nevertheless think it is important for children to have the opportunity to learn about God and learn about Christianity. I feel strongly that I want to be part of helping that happen.
My first book, “The Robins of St Lawrence Church” was published earlier this year and has an underlying Christian theme and focuses on Christian morals, and the fight between good and evil.
Please take a look at all my work on my website though, as there’s lots more than just childrens stories on it. There is poetry and all my illustrations as well as an opportunity to buy cards that I have designed. I hope you enjoy it!
